The first edition of the Defence Industry Expo & Summit will be supported by App Impact’s GatherUp event management platform. 

 
Taking place from 1–4 September 2026 at Zetra Olympic Hall in Sarajevo, Balkan Shield will bring together companies, institutions, industry professionals and visitors through four exhibition days and a two-day conference programme. 

The event will provide a regional platform for presenting defence industry products, technologies and solutions, while creating opportunities for professional exchange, networking and new business connections. 

As the digital platform behind the event, GatherUp will support several important aspects of its organization and delivery. Visitors can use the dedicated Balkan Shield web platform to register and access event information, while organizers have tools for managing registrations, participants, accreditation, content, exhibitors and sponsors. 

Developed by App Impact, GatherUp brings these processes together within a connected event management environment. The platform combines a branded event web portal with extensive administration capabilities and additional tools designed to support organizers and participants throughout the event lifecycle.
