When the client set out to strengthen networks across Bosnia and Herzegovina’s private, public, and NGO sectors in industries critical to the green transition, they needed a platform that could do more than just share information. They envisioned a space where ideas could flow, partnerships could form, and sustainable solutions could take root—both online and offline.

The result is Zelena Tranzicija, a web platform created and implemented for UNDP within the programme "Translating the SDG Framework in Bosnia and Herzegovina into sustainable and inclusive growth (SDG2BiH)".

At App Impact, we built the Zelena Tranzicija portal on our Webricks Online Presence Platform, leveraging its rich set of modules to give the client the tools needed to support a circular economy and the green transition. The platform features dedicated forums for discussion, event meetups, educational content, community-building spaces, networking tools, a glossary of terms, document publishing, news and success stories, and newsletters to keep members connected and informed.

One standout addition was a custom-built module designed specifically to connect businesses or individuals who generate waste as part of their production with those who can use that waste as raw material. This feature directly supports circular economy principles by turning potential waste into valuable resources.

With the portal now live at www.zelenatranzicija.ba, the hope is to unite this growing community in shaping a greener future for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Members can engage daily in the digital community of practice, exchange knowledge, share innovative solutions, and collaborate on impactful initiatives.

By providing a space for collaboration across sectors, Zelena Tranzicija is more than just a platform—it’s a catalyst for change. Together, its members can champion renewable energy, protect biodiversity, reduce waste, and ensure that the benefits of the green transition are shared by all.
