Carbon emissions have drastic consequences for the global environment. As a society, we need to be aware of how much carbon footage we produce by using various sources. Besides that, all relevant institutions must be united in educating citizens of their countries about the negative impact of CO2 emissions.

App Impact team is proud to present a web application developed as part of the TvojCO2.ba project, initiated by UNDP BiH and UNDP Accelerator Lab. TvojCO2.ba is the first CO2 calculator for Bosnia and Herzegovina built in accordance with available resources, including emission factors and statistics relevant to the country. By using TvojCO2.ba calculator, citizens and organizations can calculate carbon emissions they produce and find more about the positive impact they can make on the environment.

The platform's primary goal is to raise the awareness of individuals and organizations about their contribution to greenhouse gas emissions, given that the public usually underestimates their contribution to air pollution and climate change. Additionally, the platform will enable UNDP BiH to create an online marketplace to encourage investing in “offsetting” emissions (activities that remove greenhouse gases from the atmosphere, such as afforestation and energy efficiency measures).
